May 2022 Kennesaw Elementary School "The services and activities Beth provides for students and teachers shows a direct impact on the school's learning culture. The fact that she has 100% participation with her teachers and that students literally cry when they have to leave the library are testaments to the value of her learning commons." ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |
May 2022 Big Shanty Elementary School "The Library Learning Commons has truly met the students and teachers where they are. You are providing teachers with standards-based lessons and giving students multiple ways to participate and grow as readers with your Battle of the Books, paper-based reading challenges (with super cool prizes), and creative ways to engage the kids in lessons." ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |

April 2022 Mabry Middle School "The one way to really see if there is true collaboration is not only through the Library Media Specialist but through the words of her peers and admin. You can definitely see that Mrs. Norton works with her teachers in a collaborative environment when they discussed the projects they did with her during the walkthrough. The teachers and Ms. Norton were finishing each other's sentences. This is a great indicator that it is prevalent and often." ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |
April 2022 Dickerson Middle School "I really like all of the examples you gave that showed the true connection to the curriculum and collaboration with the teachers. I especially liked hearing from the math and science teachers about how you work with them." ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |

April 2022 Dowell Elementary School "My biggest takeaway here is the way Julie has transitioned the LC's collection to be more accessible to students through genrefying fiction, moving to whole number Dewey for nonfiction, utilizing browsing boxes, and adding self checkout. Students who feel confident and empowered in the LC now will grow to be teens and adults who value literacy and learning throughout their lives." ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |
April 2022 Compton Elementary School "I love seeing the transformation that is the Compton Learning Commons. I like how it is obvious that the changes have all been very intentional and planned (and continue to be planned for the future). It is easy to see how much everyone loves to be there and to be a part of the growth that is taking place." ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |

Also she demonstrated working with teachers to create engaging learning opportunities. I loved seeing the collaboration examples that integrated technology effectively to support curricular standards!" ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |
February 2020 LaBelle Elementary School “It was so motivating to see how engaged students and teachers were in the time frame of the visit. It was obvious the LLC at LaBelle is a hub of activity and an exciting place to be as a student and adult learner!” ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |

January 2020 McCleskey Middle School “The McCleskey Middle School Media program is one that I will remember for a long time. From the moment I walked in the door I was impressed. The Makerspace was one area that made the biggest impression in that it was student run in the mornings. The students came up with the ideas, pitched the idea to Amy, and then ran the program. This and the advertisement was so enticing. The Dragon Read with STEAM was a great way to integrate with the school's programs...I think that is what I liked the most is that Amy looked at what the school needed and found her place to assist. The program is truly an inspiration. I would put my child there in a heartbeat to just have Amy as her media specialist.” ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |

November 2019 Hillgrove High School “This is clearly a vibrant library program that reaches everyone in the building in some way. Great care has been taken to be responsive to changing needs and available resources. The emphasis on thoughtful collaboration and meaningful instruction is impressive. What a lucky school to have this library as its hub!” ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |

Not only has Ms. Foster created a space that both students and teachers WANT to visit and spend time in, she's provided a critical template for what is possible in collaborative learning for any school.” ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Member |

Murdock Elementary School “I appreciate how Ms. Speir has touched on all modalities of students in her Learning Commons program. She provides reading activities, technology opportunities, learning centers, just to name a few.” "The resources that Ms. Speir provides to her students are vast and eclectic. She notes that it is important for her students to not only understand the 21st century skills via online resources but also they experience the feeling and usefulness of a physical resource." ~Library Learning Commons Advisory Board Members |
