Interested in becoming a Certified Learning Commons?
It's an exciting time for our students in Cobb as we transition our media centers into 21st Century Learning Commons, designed as engaging and flexible learning environments for our students as digital learners. Collaborative teaching and learning is at the heart of this transformation and informs the design of both the program and the space.
Cobb schools can earn Learning Commons Certification through examining the three specific areas of Learning Commons transformation: services, resources, and intentional spaces. Library media specialists are asked to use the application below to evaluate their program. Complete applications will include principal endorsement and evidence of learning commons philosophy and practice. Applications will be judged by the Learning Commons Advisory Board. Through this process, schools are poised to apply for the state of Georgia Judy Serritella Exemplary Library Media Program Award and the National School Library Media Program of the Year Award.
Cobb Learning Commons are highlighted in the pictures and links below. If you have questions, please contact Holly Frilot, Supervisor of Library Media Education, at email@example.com or 770-426-3315.
